Hello Kitty (Harō Kitī), also known as Kitty White (Kitī Howaito), is a fictional cartoon character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, created by Yuko Shimizu, and designed by Yuko Yamaguchi. In the real world, Hello Kitty was born in London England with her parents and her twin sister, Mimmy in 1974 even though a Japanese company made her.

In some cases, urban legends have born to fill the lack of information and saying things like Hello Kitty is the work of the Devil.

The story is how Hello Kitty came to be according to a legend, Hello Kitty was created in 1970 by a woman.

Her 14-year-old daughter was diagnosed with mouth cancer. The doctors said nothing could be done for the dying little girl. The woman was devastated and ready to do everything to save her loved child. The mother did not give up the hope, and went to many churches, praying for a miracle and started making promises.

Unfortunately, her daughter's condition was worse with every single day, the child was terminally ill.

The distraught mother decided to play her last resort and she turned to satanic rituals and worshiping the devil.

She made a pact with the devil himself. For saving her daughter's life with curing cancer, the Devil asked for only one thing in return. She had to create a character who could be likable to everybody and famous all around the world. The Devil wanted to use this popularity to interact as many people as possible and gain worshipping followers who would do anything for him.

The Devil fulfills the deal, her daughter recovered from cancer. The mother had to keep her promise and she created the well-known "Hello Kitty", the mouthless kitten.

The woman chose the cat symbol for the character as they were associated with witchcraft for centuries during histories.

But seriously what's up with the mouth thing?

Some stories go, Hello Kitty was designed with no mouth because the daughter had mouth cancer. Kitty's pointed ears represent Satan's horns. "Kitty" in Chinese means "demon", so "Hello Kitty" is "Hello Demon". Who would have expected that?!

But this is all just urban legends.

The Hello Kitty character was designed without a mouth because it makes easier for people to project their own feelings on to the cartoon.

Another surprisingly depressing urban legend says that Hello Kitty was first drawn by a child of an abusive parent. Others say, she drew the cat without a mouth because she wanted a character to confide in that couldn't tell about the abuse. There's also one fact and it is really scary. Hello Kitty, is associated with the brutal homicide of a woman in Hong Kong in 1999. Three aggressive people raped, killed and beheaded a woman, putting in place of victim's head, Hello Kitty doll.

So, the truth is that Hello Kitty is not associated with the devil and other Lord Of The Underworld things but "The Hello Kitty Murderer", that is a true story.
